• What is the minimum system requirements for a Virtual Training Session?

You will need a computer that runs well.  If your computer is ancient and takes what feels like an eternity to load a website, you won’t get much out of the training session.  To get the most out of your training session we recommend at least:

-Operating Systems-
Windows – Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit, Windows 8 32-bit/64-bit, Windows 8.1 32-bit/64-bit, Windows Server 2008 64-bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, Windows 104 WebEx supports Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016 with limitations5
Mac – 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12, 10.13
Linux – Ubuntu 12.x and 14.x (Gnome), Red Hat 5, 6, Open SuSE 13.1, 13.2,Fedora 19, 20 (all 32-bit)

-System Requirements-
Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.XX GHz or AMD processor (4 GB of RAM recommended)

-Browser Requirements-
Internet Explorer – 10 or newer

  • What happens if I loose the connection?

You should attempt to re-connect, if re-connection fails please contact us.  We recommend that you follow the minimum system requirements in order to avoid this issue.  In addition, the faster internet connection you have, the more reliable the session will be.  12mbps internet is the lowest speed that will work reliably.

  • Do you train on-site?

We offer very limited onsite training at this time, in Salt Lake and Utah counties. Most of our training is virtual, but rest assured the quality of your session will be the same as onsite training. If you are training a large group of people please inquire about private group training. We assume one reserved spot in our group sessions is actually one person, and we have a maximum of 25 people per session so that we can answer any questions and make sure everyone is keeping up with the lesson. If you try to reserve one spot and have 20 people watching one screen, they will likely have questions that go unanswered and not be able to keep up with the content.

  • Will you see my screen or will I see your screen?

It will depend on the type of class you signed up for. Regardless of the type of class we connect our computers the same way, via a WebEX. This will allow you to see our screen on your screen, but during private sessions we will send a request to you to see your screen. For private sessions we generally use your screen so that we can work on your website. We recommend you have a browser window open and be logged into your WordPress website before your session starts, this allows us to spend your valuable time on training, instead of logging in.
For group sessions, you will be watching our screen, we will not see yours, and you will have the ability to ask questions by typing in a chat box or using a microphone connected to your computer.

  • I don’t see the group class I want to take, can I request it?

Absolutely! If there is enough interest we will make it happen. Just contact us.
